| | This position works very closely with the parish office, is notified immediately upon the death of a parishioner, informs the office of the Council member status of the deceased and the level of Honor Guard participation that can be provided. The Office, in the meeting with the family to plan the funeral informs them of these options and obtains the family’s wishes regarding Council participation (EM’s, Lectors, Ushers, Pall Bearers, Honor Guard, etc.). The coordinator arranges for these services and communicates details regarding the services and Council participation (eg, tuxes, suits, badges etc…) as well as working with the Corp Commander to arrange Honor Guard participation and arranging for the preparation of the Resolution for presentation at the funeral.
